Electric Light Orchestra

Face The Music

Now Playing - 'Fire On High' by 'Electric Light Orchestra' sequenced by ???????

This is a short interpretation of ELO's album, Face The Music.  So short, I'm only going to talk about the reversed portion of the song Fire On High.  I'm not even gonna even talk about the other reversed portion in Down Home Town.  But if YOU want to study it, make sure your .mp3 player/plugin is working, and click here -

Down Home Town reversed sample (200k)

If you don't have the album or cd, you'll need the track order for your research, so here that is -

Fire On High
Waterfall
Evil Woman
Nightrider
Poker
Strange Magic
Down Home Town
One Summer Dream

Have Fun!  Oh yea, if you want to understand the entire album, I suggest that you check out my Brave Combo Discography and my Camel Discography as the stories are much the same, and then listen to the album again.

Here is the portion we are gonna look at -
Fire On High reversed sample (235k)

Here's what they're saying (if you don't have a .mp3 player/plugin) -

"The music is reversible, but time is not. Turn back! Turn back! Turn back! Turn back!"

And my analysis -

"The music is reversible" - a synchronicity with Supersister's song, SupersisterretsisrepuS, which I have a .mp3 of here - SupersisterretsisrepuS (244k). If you notice, this song would be identical if you were to create a reversed sample of it. The music is indeed reversible.  Why synch with Supersister?  A song of their's called Psychopath (amongst other reasons), I do believe.  You can check out a recording that I did of that song on my sequences page here - Stan's MIDI page.

"But time is not" - a synchronicity with the inside cover of Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon, which you'll find here -
The Desecration of The Dark Side Of The Moon , explaination contained within.

"Turn back! Turn back! Turn back! Turn Back!" - Why should we turn back? As the Red Hot Chili Peppers say in a more recent popular song - "It's the edge of the world and all of Western civilization" (Californication)
